Eric began his acting career when he was 18 months old joining his older sister Emily Ann (Something So Right) in a bank commercial. He soon found himself on the set of "The Wonder Years" in the recurring role of young Fred Savage in home movies flashbacks. At age 5 he starred for a season in his first sitcom "Laurie Hill" with DeLane Matthews and Ellen DeGeneres. Eric also starred, for two seasons,
in the television series "Jesse" with Christina Applegate.
Eric has co-starred in numerous made-for-television movies, including "A Family Torn Apart," "Abandoned and Deceived," "In the Best of Families" and "Seasons of the Heart," in which he played Carol Burnetts grandson for director Lee Grant. In 1997, Eric co-starred as a young Truman Capote with Patty Duke and Piper Laurie in Hallmarks "A Christmas Memory." It was during the filming of this movie that he received his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, "Wicket," a gift from Duke. Eric
also filmed "Chameleon," a sci-fi movie for UPN in Australia.
Making his film debut at age six in "Heart and Souls," Eric brought us to tears as young Thomas (the character played by Robert Downey, Jr. as a child). In 1993 he co-starred with Kirk Douglas and Michael J. Fox in "Greedy" and the following year at age 8 he starred in Disneys hit "The Santa Clause" as Tim Allens son Charlie. In "Dunston Checks In," Eric starred as Jason Alexanders son in a cast that included Faye Dunaway, Rupert Everett...and an Orangutan named Sammy. Actor/Director Woody Allen hand-picked Eric to play his son in "Deconstructing Harry." He even got to do cameos as young George Clooney in last years "Batman and Robin" and young Billy Crystal in "My Giant." In late 1997 Eric filmed his first "dark role" in the independent feature "Luminous Motion" from the producers of "The Ice Storm."
Eric is currently the voice of Blankey in the Disney video "Brave Little Toaster" series, as well as Neddie in the animated series "Little Wizards." Eric also stars in "Goosebumps, Escape from Horrorland" his first interactive CD-Rom game produced by Dreamworks SKG.
Eric recently appeared in "The Santa Clause 2" which filmed in Vancouver for 12 weeks in February 2002.
